Singing Moon

I’m going to be away the actual weekend of the Singing Moon, CAYA Coven’s June full moon. I’m going camping in the woods with my wonderful girlfriend! Here’s all your usual moon goodness, though!

Some Questions

What makes you want to sing? How do you joyfully harmonize with others? What song is the Universe singing to you right now? How can you inspire others to open to their song and express it?

Toning Meditation

If you’re not sure what humming a scale sounds like, here’s how to sing a scale. They start “Do” on a C.

This meditation is a chakra alignment. Starting with your root chakra, hum or “ah” a low C note. Visualize the tone vibrating through your chakra, leaving it a vibrant red. Move up a note and a chakra, this time visualizing a glowing orange around your hips. Move up again to your third chakra, letting this new note vibrate out from your belly and leave a bright yellow behind. Continuing to move up, let F vibrate a loving green in your heart chakra, G cleanse your throat chakra to a mellow blue, A brighten your third eye chakra in purple, and B leave your crown chakra glowing white.

Make sure to hold each note as long as you need to feel the tone infusing that chakra. Breath. Complete the scale with a high C, reaching up energetically to the stars and the Universe. Draw the energy of the Universe in. Working your way back down the scale and down your chakras, draw that energy into each of your chakras until you’ve returned to your root chakra. Take a long, slow breath and let silence connect you back to the Earth and the Now.

Sing It Out

Get 5 or more songs you love queued up and crank it up! If you don’t know the words, grab them from online. Sing along as loud as you can. While you’re at it, dance, too.
