The Egyptian goddess Isis-Aset, to whom I am dedicated, was honored at a ritual this past summer. Here is a glimpse…
I set the offering before Her. I stand tall, wings extended out and up to the sky, then bow low and kneel.
Isis, Iset, Aset
Goddess of Ten Thousand Names
We, your people, adore you.
Her Priestess sits before me. No, that’s not right. The goddess Herself, Isis-Aset, is enthroned before me.
Isis, Great of Magick, we adore you
Isis, Mother of All, we adore you
Isis, Queen of Heaven and Earth, we adore you
The Goddess smiles at me. My voice, quiet at first, rings out joyfully now. I dip a spoon into honey and move it to the offering bowl.
Isis, You are the sweetness of life, even when all else is bitter. In the name of your people, who adore you, I make this offering of honey. May it please You, as we are pleased by You.
With a final bow, I rise and set the offering bowl near to the Goddess. I am alight, glowing with my love for my Goddess.
